Aeolus
Role: father of Macar · First appears: The Catalogues of Women and Eoiae · Fragments 1–20
Aeolus was the son of Hellen, alongside Dorus and Xuthus. He was the father of Cretheus, Athamas, Sisyphus, Salmoneus, and Perieres; the Homeric Hymn to Delian Apollo also names Macar as his son, calling Lesbos “home of Macar, the son of Aeolus”.
