Theseus
Family: Greek · Role: Lapith · First appears: The Catalogues of Women and Eoiae · Fragments 61–80
The Catalogues of Women and Eoiae says Theseus was overcome by love for Aegle, daughter of Panopeus, and that he lawfully married both Aegle and Hippe: “Theseus wedded both Hippe and Aegle lawfully.”
At Ilium, Demophon and Acamas found Aethra and took her with them; the text calls them the Sons of Theseus. In The Returns, Antiope betrayed Themiscyra because she was in love with Theseus, who was with Heracles on the expedition.
