In Book 8, Chapter 10, at Mantinea, Leocydes was one of the two generals of the Megalopolitan division, alongside Lydiades, as the Mantineans and Arcadians defeated the Lacedæmonians by surrounding them. At Lycosura, Leocydes was identified as “the ninth descendant from Arcesilaus who lived at Lycosura.”
