Hesiod and Homerica

Elatius

Also known as: Elatus · Family: unknown · Role: father · First appears: The Catalogues of Women and Eoiae · Fragments 81–100

In the Homeric Hymn to Apollo, Elatius is identified as the father of Ischys, who appears among the rivals wooing the daughter of Azan. The hymn calls him “well-horsed Elatius.” Later, the Catalogues of Women identifies Ischys as the son of Elatus and says he had wed Coronis, daughter of Phlegyas.
