Wanwanyen-Aponibolinayen
Also known as: Wanwanyen · Role: wife of Dumanau · First appears: Tale 19 · Part 1
In Tale 19 · Part 1, an alan in Matawatawen raised Wanwanyen-Aponibolinayen, who also goes by Wanwanyen there. After two days, she accepted Dumanau’s betel-nut, and they married; she and Kanag said they were close relatives and that it was good for them to marry. Three years passed before Dumanau used magic to move their house to Kadalayapan. Not long after, Wanwanyen died, and Dumanau placed her body in a golden tabalang and sent it down the river.
In Tale 19 · Part 2, Alokotán revived Wanwanyen, whom she found dead inside the tabalang, and hid her at Nagbotobotán. Dumanau found her alive and took her home. Alokotán explained that she had revived Wanwanyen because Dumanau was her relative. When they returned to Kadalayapan, they said they would build a balaua and invite their relatives.
In Tale 19 · Part 3, Aponigawani and Aponibalagen recognized Wanwanyen as their daughter and Dumanau’s wife. They said he should pay the marriage price, and it was paid not long after. Aponibolinayen apologized to Wanwanyen, saying she had spoken badly because she did not know they were related, and that Wanwanyen’s father was her brother.
