the infant's mother (Chapter 051)
Family: tribe · Role: mother · First appears: The Guilty Hunters
Her husband was murdered by hunters who took the skins and meat they had brought home. When night came, he told her, “You and the child must be saved. Go; I shall meet misfortune alone.” She fled through the forest with their infant.
Just at twilight, she returned home with the child and told her friends what had happened to her, the infant, and her husband. When the time for all to assemble came, she testified that one of the hunters had a bitten thumb and explained that her husband had bitten him while defending himself against the robbers.
