Pantaleon
Family: Pisa · Role: ruler · First appears: Book 6 · Chapter 21
Pantaleon, son of Omphalion, ruled Pisa. In Book 6, Chapter 21, Chamynus opposed his rule and stirred the people to revolt from Elis; Pantaleon killed him. In Chapter 22, during the 34th Olympiad, Pantaleon and the people of Pisa assembled neighbouring peoples and instituted the Olympian games instead of Elis.
Pantaleon was the father of Damophon and Pyrrhus. In the 48th Olympiad, Elis invaded Pisæa after suspecting Damophon intended treachery, but returned after entreaties and promises. Pyrrhus later succeeded his brother Damophon on the throne, and the people of Pisa began a war with Elis.
